PSR1 recommends that each class must be in a namespace of at least one level to avoid collisions.
You can fix this by adding a namespace to your class: namespace YourVendor;
class YourClass { }
When choosing a vendor namespace, try to pick something that is not too generic to avoid conflicts with other libraries. ![]() |

Sometimes obsolete code just ends up commented out instead of removed. In this case it is better to remove the code once you have checked you do not need it. The code might also have been commented out for debugging purposes. In this case it is vital that someone uncomments it again or your project may behave in very unexpected ways in production. netmountPrepare uses the super-global variable $_GET which is generally not recommended.
Instead of super-globals, we recommend to explicitly inject the dependencies of your class. This makes your code less dependent on global state and it becomes generally more testable: // Bad
class Router
{
public function generate($path)
{
return $_SERVER['HOST'].$path;
}
}
// Better
class Router
{
private $host;
public function __construct($host)
{
$this->host = $host;
}
public function generate($path)
{
return $this->host.$path;
}
}
class Controller
{
public function myAction(Request $request)
{
// Instead of
$page = isset($_GET['page']) ? intval($_GET['page']) : 1;
// Better (assuming you use the Symfony2 request)
$page = $request->query->get('page', 1);
}

The variable
$errors does not seem to be defined for all execution paths leading up to this point.
If you define a variable conditionally, it can happen that it is not defined for all execution paths. Let’s take a look at an example: function myFunction($a) {
switch ($a) {
case 'foo':
$x = 1;
break;
case 'bar':
$x = 2;
break;
}
// $x is potentially undefined here.
echo $x;
}
In the above example, the variable $x is defined if you pass “foo” or “bar” as argument for $a. However, since the switch statement has no default case statement, if you pass any other value, the variable $x would be undefined. Available Fixes

Sometimes obsolete code just ends up commented out instead of removed. In this case it is better to remove the code once you have checked you do not need it. The code might also have been commented out for debugging purposes. In this case it is vital that someone uncomments it again or your project may behave in very unexpected ways in production. The expression
$tgtStat of type array is implicitly converted to a boolean; are you sure this is intended? If so, consider using ! empty($expr) instead to make it clear that you intend to check for an array without elements.
This check marks implicit conversions of arrays to boolean values in a comparison. While in PHP an empty array is considered to be equal (but not identical) to false, this is not always apparent. Consider making the comparison explicit by using ![]() |

Duplicated code is one of the most pungent code smells. It seems like
$raw defined by $this->_db_getFile($path) on line 1025 can also be of type boolean ; however, elFinderVolumeDropbox2::_db_parseRaw() does only seem to accept string , maybe add an additional type check?
If a method or function can return multiple different values and unless you are sure that you only can receive a single value in this context, we recommend to add an additional type check: /**
* @return array|string
*/
function returnsDifferentValues($x) {
if ($x) {
return 'foo';
}
return array();
}
$x = returnsDifferentValues($y);
if (is_array($x)) {

The expression
$size of type array is implicitly converted to a boolean; are you sure this is intended? If so, consider using ! empty($expr) instead to make it clear that you intend to check for an array without elements.
This check marks implicit conversions of arrays to boolean values in a comparison. While in PHP an empty array is considered to be equal (but not identical) to false, this is not always apparent. Consider making the comparison explicit by using ![]() |

It seems like the type of the argument is not accepted by the function/method which you are calling. In some cases, in particular if PHP’s automatic type-juggling kicks in this might be fine. This method seems to be duplicated in your project.
Duplicated code is one of the most pungent code smells. If you need to duplicate the same code in three or more different places, we strongly encourage you to look into extracting the code into a single class or operation. You can also find more detailed suggestions in the “Code” section of your repository. ![]() |

84% of this comment could be valid code. Did you maybe forget this after debugging?
Sometimes obsolete code just ends up commented out instead of removed. In this case it is better to remove the code once you have checked you do not need it. The code might also have been commented out for debugging purposes. In this case it is vital that someone uncomments it again or your project may behave in very unexpected ways in production. This check looks for comments that seem to be mostly valid code and reports them. ![]() |

The PSR-1: Basic Coding Standard recommends that a file should either introduce new symbols, that is classes, functions, constants or similar, or have side effects. Side effects are anything that executes logic, like for example printing output, changing ini settings or writing to a file.
The idea behind this recommendation is that merely auto-loading a class should not change the state of an application. It also promotes a cleaner style of programming and makes your code less prone to errors, because the logic is not spread out all over the place.
To learn more about the PSR-1, please see the PHP-FIG site on the PSR-1.
