How to fix   Duplicated Code

Duplicated Code

Duplicate code is one of the most pungent code smells. A rule that is often used is to re-structure code once it is duplicated in three or more places.

Common duplication problems, and corresponding solutions are:

Duplicated code is one of the most pungent code smells. If you need to duplicate the same code in three or more different places, we strongly encourage you to look into extracting the code into a single class or operation.

You can also find more detailed suggestions in the “Code” section of your repository.

$clientInterface is of type object<GuzzleHttp\ClientInterface>, but the property $client was declared to be of type object<GuzzleHttp\Client>. Are you sure that you always receive this specific sub-class here, or does it make sense to add an instanceof check?

Our type inference engine has found a suspicous assignment of a value to a property. This check raises an issue when a value that can be of a given class or a super-class is assigned to a property that is type hinted more strictly.

Either this assignment is in error or an instanceof check should be added for that assignment.

It seems like $uri defined by parameter $uri on line 105 can also be of type object<Psr\Http\Message\UriInterface>; however, GuzzleHttp\Client::requestAsync() does only seem to accept string, maybe add an additional type check?

This check looks at variables that have been passed in as parameters and are passed out again to other methods.

If the outgoing method call has stricter type requirements than the method itself, an issue is raised.

An additional type check may prevent trouble.
